Graphic Comments
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008Unfortunately we live with a web full of immaturity. Even people like us who are trying to create a positive influence on the web are subjected to graphic comments by people under emotional distress.
We maintain our positive goals of helping people in web research at top100k.com. The problem with user created content is that it allows anyone no matter what there physical or emotional maturity levels to post comments and add web sites to our site. These purveyors of porn, mongers of hate and dealers of drugs who try to infiltrate good web sites for there own perverse goals are sad people. We use content filters and IP blockers to help us disbar their commentaries from our site. It is now easier to collect IP addresses to conduct packet sniffing and route tracing to identify these people. Federal agencies can be notified and some already are aware of the people with these problems. We will do our best to protect young people who use our site from being subjected to these abusive users.
Fortunately on the bright side there are many good web sites for these people in emotional stress to go to and ironically one of our goals is to help people find these sites. One that I found under our mental health category is NIMH. Please feel free to follow the above link if you feel angry, inadequate or depressed.
Remember there are always eyes watching you, even if they are just your own.
