Dear blog viewers:
We are turning the top100k into a web 2.0 project. Web 2.0 has different definitions to different people across the web. It basically combines new web development techniques that allow for page updates that do not load the entire page, we already use this in the top frame of our site to view the category contents, with user input to create content. This is currently being done in our site through blogging and the add a site form. We are asking our users to help us with the content at top100k. These aspects of our site will be steadily increased to let users add a site directly to each categorized page.
Other sites that have developed popular web 2.0 sites and applications that allow users to create content include digg, facebook and myspace. We hope to join the fray and create a great site for conducting research by giving users the ability to add their top sites directly to each page and rate sites for veracity and relevancy. This can be done while viewing the listed top sites and searching through categories using our client-side search technology developed by our parent site webovations.com. The submissions will be placed in a temporary list and will still be reviewed by us before categorization and final publication.
Thanks for joining us
